Position Description:

In the role of a Grants Operations Coordinator you will be working in our Cancer Center. Purpose Coordinates the pre-award planning, organization, and preparation of various grants assigned to one or more research and/or clinical departments. Interacts with investigators and administrative staff to ensure that grants are in compliance with regulatory, funding agency, and policy requirements. Provides guidance and support to investigators in the identification and development of grant opportunities. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Previous experience related to scientific research or research administration in an academic medical center or university is a plus.
Previous participation in or exposure to research or research development is a plus.
Demonstrated technical writing ability is a plus.
Prior experience with pre-award grants administration is a plus.
Knowledge of accounting, mathematics, administration, English language, and human resources.
Work requires resource management, mathematics, problem solving, coordinating work activities, critical thinking, systems analysis, operations analysis, time management, writing, active listening, and active learning skills.
Speech clarity, finger dexterity, and wrist-finger speed while operating computers abilities required.
