In the role ofa Network Engineer III you will beworking in the Finance and Administration Department.
Purpose
Installs, configures, and supports the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and enterprise network systems
Primary Functions
- Monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Monitors and tests network performance to ensure network infrastructure operates correctly and without interruption.
- Assists in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
- May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists.
- Researches networking requirements; prepares detailed architectural and installation plans.
- Conducts internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis.
- Researches problems, conducts cable and equipment installations, and evaluates new technologies.
- Participates in strategic planning efforts, capacity planning, functional and technical design of enterprise systems, and resolution of complex problems.
- Evaluates vendor products in hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment and recommends purchases consistent with the organizations short and long term objectives.
- Recommends and implements LAN / WAN policies and standards and ensures adherence to security procedures.
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
Knowledge of computers, electronics, digital media, databases, applications, software development, risk management, and information security.
Customer support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving, and listening skills.

Monday - Friday 8 : 00-5 : 00 along with a on-call rotation
Position Requirements :
Qualifications
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education : Associate's Degree
Minimum Required Experience : 3 years
Preferred Experience : Senior level network engineer with Cisco in depth experience in wired / wireless, voice, LAN, WAN, security, data center, and VPN
Certification : Cisco certifications
