Purpose
Under direct supervision, provide support to social behavioral research, to inform and understand issues affecting the health of citizens.
Primary Functions
Open, average of 10 hours per week
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of data interpretation and analyses, evaluation of published literature, documentation, and records management.
Additional skills required: data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills, communication skills, and organizational skills.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Required Experience: None
Preferred Education: Advanced degree or enrollment in advanced degree program in relevant field preferred
Preferred Experience: Research or policy experience preferred

- Review published literature and research topics as requested to help develop policy briefs, topic summaries, or other needed informational products to be used for policy development, departmental advising, or public messaging
- Identify data and/or credible information to help the Chief Policy Advisor make informed recommendations
- As requested and available, participate in meetings to discuss above outlined deliverables
- As requested and available, participate in meetings with Milwaukee County stakeholders
