Pike Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington is seeking a qualified RN candidates to join our growing team.
As a wound care nurse in our healthcare center, you will be at the forefront of helping us achieve our mission of delivering Care Beyond Compare every day through the exceptional hands-on care you provide alongside your teammates.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware. Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred.
Purpose
The primary purpose of this job position is to develop, implement, and supervise the day-to-day wound care program for the facility in accordance with established nursing standards, policies and procedures, and practices of this facility and the requirements of the federal, state and local standard governing the facility.
Administrative Functions :
Make written and oral reports / recommendations to the Director of Nursing, concerning the operation of the nursing services department as it specifically relates to wound care coordination.
Review the departments policies, procedures, job descriptions, and make recommendations to the Director of Nursing.
Responsible for the accurate and timely documentation of wounds in the nurses notes at least weekly.
Responsible for all treatments required by license nurse and ensuring that wound care treatments are carried out on all shifts.
Evaluate high risk residents for pressure reduction intervention methods.
Conduct body assessments and documentation on all new admissions per policy.
Photograph pressure areas per protocol.
Provides direct nursing care (staff nurse) as neccessary.
