Role Overview:
We’re seeking a passionate and highly skilled Digital Experience Designer to elevate the design and usability of our digital apps and portals. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager of Digital Apps & Portals, this role will play a key part in ensuring that our member- and partner-facing digital experiences are not only beautiful and on-brand—but also accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with the emotional and functional needs of our diverse users. This is a critical role that blends world-class UI/UX design with deep empathy and clarity around what great digital health experiences look and feel like.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & UX Excellence
- Design intuitive, consistent, and brand-aligned front-end experiences for mobile apps, portals, and web tools.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and design systems that support an outstanding user experience.
- Apply accessibility and UX best practices to ensure ease of use for seniors and multi-generational audiences.
- User-Centered Thinking
- Deeply understand the needs, preferences, and limitations of our senior members, their loved ones, and partners.
- Map out user journeys that align with product capabilities, business goals, and real-life contexts of use.
- Design features that prioritize usability and clarity based on package-level access and key user workflows.
- Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with the Senior Product Manager, Engineering, and Brand/Marketing to bring features to life.
- Ensure design consistency and fidelity across all platforms and touchpoints.
- Participate in sprint planning and provide UX guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Innovation & Brand Consistency
- Drive innovation by exploring and integrating design trends relevant to digital health and aging-in-place.
- Evolve and maintain design systems that reflect our brand voice and visual language across products.
- Balance creativity with pragmatism—designing solutions that delight while meeting functional needs.
- Feedback & Iteration
- Conduct or support user testing and research to validate designs and uncover insights.
- Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to refine and improve user interfaces.
- Help define and measure UX success metrics in collaboration with Product and Analytics teams.
Qualifications
- 3 years of digital product design experience, preferably in health tech or a mission-driven company.
- A portfolio showcasing strong UI/UX work across mobile and web platforms.
- Mastery of modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, InVision, etc.).
- Solid understanding of design systems, interaction design, and responsive design principles.
- Experience designing for accessibility (WCAG standards) and older adult usability best practices is a major plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
