Description:

We are excited to announce an opening for an Instructional Designer and Team Educator. As an Instructional Designer and Team Educator you will be an independent contributor who works collaboratively with all departments to create effective learning and development content encompassing adult learning techniques. This position is responsible for creating, developing, implementing, and conducting training and development programs to improve employee retention, engagement, operational efficiency, and learning support of all IMA staff. This position provides creative, technical, and administrative support to the company’s learning and professional development program

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with leaders and subject matter experts, to develop curriculum and educational content that supports learning objectives and standards. This involves researching educational topics, identifying key concepts, and organizing content in a logical and structured manner.
  • Creates engaging and interactive educational materials across various mediums, including written content, multimedia resources, videos, infographics, and interactive modules. Uses creativity and expertise to design visually appealing materials that cater to diverse learning styles and preferences.
  • Produces multimedia content such as videos, animations, and interactive simulations to enhance the learning experience. This may involve scripting, storyboarding, recording, editing, and post-production work to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the media assets.
  • Reviews and edits educational content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance. Conducts thorough quality assurance checks to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies in the content before publication or distribution.
  • Leverages technology tools and platforms to develop and deliver educational content in digital formats.
  • Ensures that educational content is accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities. By adhering to accessibility standards and guidelines, to design content that is perceivable, operable, and understandable for all users.
  • Stays informed about emerging trends, best practices, and advancements in educational technology and content development. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance their skills, explore new tools and techniques, and incorporate feedback to improve the quality and effectiveness of their educational materials.
  • Manages the training calendar, email, and Training & Development Channel to ensure that scheduling is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Creates and implements continuing education strategies to ensure that employees are performing job duties according to company policies and procedures.
  • Improves and maintains Onboarding Simulation Clinic with outlines that embody the three learning styles: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic to facilitate training for new employees more efficiently.
  • Manages the Training Ticketing System for training requests and/or content creation including videos, modules, and others as requested.
  • Creates weekly videos for training tips for staff members.
  • Create, design, and improve current and new training content.
  • Maintain content and project organization under the IMA Training Team SharePoint.
  • In collaboration with Office Managers completes Inefficiency Checklist and creates training support plans to address inefficiencies across all IMA clinics.
  • Manages the Intranet Training Webpage to ensure up-to-date training is available to all IMA staff members.
  • Oversees the Clinical Operations training aspect of Healthcare Compliance Pros to create, modify, and implement training assignments and ensure new hires complete compliance training.
  • Maintain Role Based Security Logs and Access
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 years or more experience in primary care medical practices.
  • 3 years or more experience as a Lead Medical Assistant, Referral Coordinator and/or Care Manager.
  • Previous experience with training design and facilitation.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with eClinicalWorks, or similar electronic health records systems.
  • Advanced computer skills required: Microsoft 365 (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Preferred

  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred.
