What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Technologist position at Medical Imaging & Therapeutics?
Interventional Radiology Center in need of a Lead CT technologist capable of assisting IR doctor with biopsies and special procedures. This is a small facility focused on quality of care and building patient relationships since many patient return for multiple procedures and palliative care. You will expect to be in close communication with the patient and radiologist. Unlike a CT position in a hospital or diagnostic center where you stay in one department and perform numeous scans , MIT proudly implements a team approach where members serve multiples roles and support other members in different departments, so the pace, duties and environment is always changing.
In our Interventional radiology center you will need to be ambitious, adventurous and willing to perform outside of your comfort zone. Some of the tasks you will be expected to perform are biopsies and surgical procedures in a CT and C-Arm, Setup and clean up sterile procedures, take vitals and begin consultations of patients for procedures, prepare biopsy specimens and requisitions, package and prepare specimens for pickup, assist with patient care for other techs when needed, draw blood, take vitals and perform Istat testing.
