Job Summary
We are seeking a critical care physician with expertise in Medical, Cardiac and Neuro ICU. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with high acuity patients, EEG reading, and can handle a high volume of cases.
The ICU has 10 beds and requires consults for all patients. Shifts are 12 hours long, with days only and at-home call for nights. All medical procedures are performed in-house.
Candidates must have completed a Critical Care fellowship and be Board Certified in Critical Care. Additionally, they must be licensed to practice in Alaska and have an active DEA license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care services to patients in the Medical, Cardiac and Neuro ICU
- Conduct EEG readings and interpret results
- Perform all medical procedures required for patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care
Certifications:
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
- BLS certification
- Board Certification in Critical Care
- DEA license
- PALS certification
Licenses:
- Active AK license
Work Schedule:
Days only: 7am-7pm
No on-call shifts
