Performs activities related to document management, such as: opening, preparing, reviewing, sorting and scanning documents along with keying relevant data elements. Monitors, delegates, and audits workflow, ensuring documents are scanned and indexed timely and accurately. Responsibilities
- Prepares, routes, and sorts various documents received by mail, e-mail, fax, or other sources. Removes paper clips and staples as well as correcting damaged pages. Troubleshoot documents with no key indexes. Utilizes a variety of hardware and software to convert documents into electronic images and data. Keys data elements as defined by type of submission.
- Monitors work queue; coordinates and delegates workflow, ensuring documents are scanned and indexed timely and accurately
- Performs edit or research functions related to claims and routing of documents.
- Conducts document management system program and/or other system upgrade testing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 5 days a week onsite in Brooklyn, OH office
- Experience as a Document Management Specialist or equivalent experience in document imaging/indexing.
- Alpha-numeric keyboard skills at a minimum of 5,000 ksph.
- Strong knowledge of document management procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment (multi-function copier/printer/scanner, conference phone, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency with document management systems (e.g., OnBase)
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills.
- Ability to operate scanner and copier.
- Ability to visually compare documents.
