What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Medical Assistant position at Medical Office Staffing?
We are in need of an additional medical assistant to add to our current practice. The candidate must be bilingual to accommodate a growing Hispanic demographic to our practice. The job description is as follows:
Back Office Medical/Therapy Assistant:
Take treating patients back for passive modalities to be performed. Modalities may include hot/cold packs, electrical muscle stimulation, mechanical traction, dry hydrotherapy, therapeutic ultrasound, low level laser therapy, and vasopneumatic compression. The MA is responsible for guiding patient's through their treatment plan and placing them and preparing them for treatments.
All office documentation is run through an EHR system and therefore some charting will be required. Basic knowledge of current ICD-10 and CPT codes is preferred. The MA will work with supporting staff to ensure all patient's are taken care of from the time they enter the office until they check out.
The office is located in Homewood area. Hours are 9-12, 2-6 on Monday through Friday. We work every other Saturday from 9-12. There is a two hour lunch break to allow adequate time to finish up morning shift and get back early to prepare for the afternoon schedule. We are looking to fill this position rather quickly.
