Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team full or part time. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. Hours of operations:
Monday- Friday 9:00am-6:00pm
Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm
Sunday Closed
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication orders, inventory levels, and patient profiles.
- Support medication administration processes, including IV infusion and acute care protocols.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in patient care.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is not required, but preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, medication administration, and critical care protocols.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
