Position : Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Classification : Exempt
Reports to : Medical Director and Supervising Physician
Hours : 40 hours / week
Position Summary :
Wake Spine and Pain Specialists is looking for Advanced Practice Providers to join our team in the Triangle area, specifically Raleigh and Wake Forest . This is an excellent opportunity to join a very reputable and established group of highly trained interventional pain physicians and mid-level practitioners. As an APP, you will join a team of highly skilled professionals who collectively treat patients through medication management, minor procedures including ultrasound guided joint injections and implantable pain-relieving devices. You will work in a collaborative environment with other medical professionals to review and discuss medical problems, diagnostic tests, and therapeutic procedures.
Work Schedule :
Excellent work life balance with a four-and-a-half-day work week : Mon-Thurs 7 : 40am - 5 : 00pm and Fri 7 : 40 am - 12 : 30pm
Salary and Benefits :
Compensation : $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year commensurate with experience. Three weeks paid time off and one additional week paid CME. This position also offers an exceptional benefits package which includes malpractice insurance, medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k).
Essential Functions :
- Order diagnostic and therapeutic procedures / studies as appropriate
- Perform clinical procedures (i.e., trigger points, joint injections)
- Review and interpret diagnostic studies with patient and forms treatment plan
- Provide pre and post procedure education and counseling for all patients undergoing minor procedures including ultrasound guided joint injections and implantable pain relieving devices
- Collectively treat patients through medication and refill management
- Initiate and monitor medication and treatment in accordance with the current standards of care
- Evaluate need for immediate care and / or referral to other disciplines
- Complete notes in a timely manner
- Complete patient forms as necessary, including FMLA, disability, etc.
- Take after hours call in rotation with other providers
Supervisory Responsibility :
This position will have Supervisory responsibilities of the supporting medical assistant.
Work Environment :
This job operates in a professional, clinical office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and medical equipment such as the Ultrasound machine.
