Travel:Travel between the Wayne and Hewitt offices is required, based on company needs and job duties. Regular schedule includes 3.5 days in Wayne and 1.5 days in Hewitt office.
Position Overview:
The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient clinic operations by delivering excellent customer service, managing patient check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring accurate data entry into all systems used by Ankle & Foot Centers of America. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, processing payment transactions, and handling incoming calls. This role requires professionalism, ethical conduct, and respectful behavior, in line with the company’s values, mission, and vision.
Essential Responsibilities:
Greet all patients and visitors professionally.
Enter and update patient demographic information as needed.
Verify insurance details for all patients.
Communicate effectively with patients and staff, both in-person and over the phone.
Prepare correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as required by physicians or administration.
Schedule patient appointments, ensuring mutual availability and obtaining referral information.
Check patients in and out efficiently and professionally.
Collect co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, and back balances during check-in.
Deliver exceptional customer service in all patient interactions.
Collaborate effectively with all departments within the organization.
Prepare new patient documents and forms as necessary.
Monitor and maintain office inventory, submitting supply orders to administration.
Ensure the front desk and patient waiting areas are tidy and organized.
Copy medical documents as requested, adhering to proper procedures.
Distribute mail, faxes, and routine correspondence as needed.
Accurately complete End-of-Day (EOD) procedures.
Ensure collection of any outstanding balances and correct billing for DME or services rendered during patient checkout.
Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and comply with federal and state laws.
Complete other job-related tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This role is based in a professional office environment, with regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
This position involves mainly sedentary work, with occasional standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs. Routine computer usage is required, and good verbal communication skills are essential.
Position Type & Schedule:
This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be needed based on job requirements.

Preferred Education & Experience: One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
