What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist (MIN 2 YRS EXP IN MEDICAL PRACTICE) position at Medical Practice?
Looking for an long term medical front desk receptionist to manage the front desk of a growing and fast paced podiatry practice with minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office who is patient, friendly, inviting/welcoming and independent. This a full-time position and ideally want the person to start immediately. Will offer benefits based off experience that include health insurance, retirement plan and bonus.
Excellent computer skills are required with experience using a cloud based EMR system and Microsoft Office.
Medical front desk receptionist duties and responsibilities:
- Make appointments, answer phone calls, listen to voicemails, take messages and transfer calls as needed
- Greet patients and answer any questions they may have
- Check patients in and out
- Must understand how copays, co-insurance, deductibles work
- Must be able to use Navinet, Availity etc
- Maintain patient schedule and review for any potential conflicts
- Collect copays and enter any financial transactions
- Scan the appropriate information into an online chart
- Perform other duties as assigned / needed
Must present with a professional appearance and demeanor; must be organized and able to multi-task. Responsibilities will increase with time. Will need to be able to provide references.
