What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant position at medical practice?
We are a small yet busy family practice that also offers urgent care services looking for an ambitious applicant looking for an exciting new opportunity. We have been family owned and operated for 34 years. You would be joining a healthy work place environment that does offer flexibility when it comes to understanding when life events happen.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician (limited) medical assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using digital X-ray equipment along with medical assistant responsibilities (please see below). The X-ray Technician will work in a fast-paced environment that offers a ton of experience and procedures.
*Hours:
- Monday: 8a-8p (patient care ends at 6:30pm)
- Wednesday: 9a-5:30p
- Thursday: 9a-5:30p
- Friday: 8a-8p (patient care ends at 6:30pm)
*Responsibilities*
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while adhering to safety protocols after preparing patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Assist in the management of patient records and documentation.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of imaging quality.
- Taking patients back and taking their vitals while documenting their reason for visit.
- Have a comfort level with performing point of care labs (rapid strep, throat culture, UPT, urine analysis, etc), giving injections, and operating an ECG machine.
