We are seeking a Custodian & Food Service Worker (Hybrid Role) to join our founding team. Due to our small size in the first year, this position will play a vital role in both maintaining a clean, safe environment and supporting our federal breakfast and lunch programs.
Position Details:
Hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Reports to: Director of Finance and Operations
Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month position

Responsibilities:
Custodial Duties:
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the school building, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
Set up and break down spaces for daily activities and events.
Perform daily trash removal and recycling.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Perform minor repairs and assist with maintenance needs.
Food Service Duties:
Prepare the cafeteria for meal service, including setting up tables, trays, and utensils.
Serve meals for the federal breakfast and lunch programs, ensuring compliance with safety and health standards.
Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and cafeteria areas after meal service.
Qualifications:
Experience in custodial, maintenance, or food service roles preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Strong time-management and multitasking skills.
Growth mindset with a willingness to attend professional development, including food service training and asbestos awareness training.
Team player with a commitment to supporting a positive school environment.
