Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive healthcare for 20-60 bedridden inmates, including medication administration, direct nursing care, and specialized procedures like IV therapy, wound care, dialysis, and CPR.
- Leads and organizes the 'code blue' team, supervises healthcare staff, and oversees shift operations in the absence of senior nurses.
- Assists physicians with diagnostic evaluations and ensures inmates receive necessary medical examinations and treatments.
- Manages medical records, charts medications and treatments, and completes reports such as incident and accident reports.
- Coordinates outpatient appointments, prescription refills, and medical supply orders while maintaining accurate inventory of controlled drugs and equipment.
- Performs administrative duties, serves as a liaison within the organization, participates in meetings, and occasionally provides instruction or leads problem-solving teams.
