What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician - Region 5 position at Medical Recruitment Strategies?
Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care to provide on-site services on a full-time basis to the male population at this lower security prison. Schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays - and is flexible based on needs of facility, but core hours are typically between 7 : 00 a.m. and 5 : 00 p.m. Selected physician will see approximately 2.5 patients / hour. Assignment will last at least 3 months and may be extended based on good fit and mutual need. On-call coverage is not required but may be requested after 3 months then implemented only if there is mutual agreement. Both a phone interview and on-site meeting / tour will be required.
The following credentialing documents must be submitted : a comprehensive resume that includes education (with location and year of graduation), training, and complete work history; and Ohio license; healthcare-professional level BLS / CPR certification and board certification. A Drug Enforcement Administration certification should also be submitted, if available, as it will be required for the assignment. If an offer is extended, drug and TB test documents will need to be supplied by vendor for review by hiring manager at least 48 hours prior to start, or the start date may be postponed.
