Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading healthcare facility in Burlington, MA. This full-time role operates on a day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional rotating weekends and holidays.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Central Processing Department (CPD), strong sterilization and SPD knowledge, and a current certification in sterile processing. Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and inventory
- Collaborate with surgical teams and licensed practitioners to ensure equipment availability and functionality
- Adhere to all hospital infection control and safety standards
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma (required)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Central Processing (CPD)
- Strong knowledge of Sterile Processing Department (SPD) procedures
- Previous travel experience preferred
Certification:
- Certification in Sterile Processing (required)
Vaccination Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster must be current at time of submission
- 2024–2025 flu vaccine required at submission (no declinations accepted)
- If not current, an attestation confirming intent to receive the flu vaccine before the start date is acceptable
Additional Information:
- Local candidates are not accepted (must meet non-local travel requirements)
- Candidate must not have worked (permanent or travel) at any Beth Israel facility within the last six months
