- Responsibilities of Cardiothoracic Physician Assistants :
- Assist in
- cardiothoracic surgeries
- with an average of
- 0-2 surgical cases per day
- Provide
- critical care support
- in a unit handling
- 10 patients per day
- shared among a collaborative care team
- Perform
- first assist
- duties and
- vein harvesting
- as needed
- Utilize
- Allscripts EMR
- for documentation
- Requirements for Cardiothoracic Physician Assistants :
- Certified Physician Assistant
- with experience in
- cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficiency in
- first assist
- vein harvesting
- Strong team player comfortable working in both
- surgical and critical care settings
