What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Medical Services of America?
Medi Home Health & Hospice, a division of Medical Services of America Inc., is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Home Health & Hospice patients in Watauga County, North Carolina.
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the LPN is responsible for performing selected nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse.
The LPN will provide skilled nursing care to clients as directed by the registered nurse and physician's plan of care, in accordance with agency policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to clients as directed by the registered nurse and physician's plan of care
- Adhere to policies and procedures
- Assist in planning and exchanging information with other health professionals to achieve and maintain continuity of client care
- Prepare clinical progress notes and follow client care plans as developed by the registered nurse and according to agency policy
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a certified licensed practical nursing program
- Current licensure as an LPN in the state of North Carolina
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience
- Home Health experience is strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation and company-required auto liability insurance
