Medical Services of America, a leading provider of home care services, seeks a skilled Patient Scheduling Specialist to join our team.
This role is responsible for receiving referrals and scheduling patient care personnel as needed.
We are looking for an individual who can obtain all pertinent information regarding patient insurance, including address, phone number, exhaustion of benefits, eligibility, etc. This includes verifying whether the patient was a previous patient through our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
The ideal candidate will create and update patients' assignment screens, updating and/or changing patient status as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient insurance information
- Verify patient status in EMR system
- Create and update patient assignment screens
- Update patient status as necessary
Qualifications and Skills:
We are seeking an individual with one year of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in home care. Previous customer service and data entry experience is also preferred.
