Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Elmhurst, New York. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials to produce images of the body's internal structures.
Responsibilities:
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to established protocols
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers
- Produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures using computerized tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET) scans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans
- Develop and implement patient care plans to ensure optimal results from diagnostic imaging procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
