- 94 beds total:
- Pediatric: 50 beds (all private rooms)
- Adult: 44 beds
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health RN with Experience in Behavioral health nursing. Pediatric Behavioral Health experience is preferred; however, candidates without Pediatric experience will be considered. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Patient Population:
- Common diagnoses: Eating Disorders, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Gender Dysphoria.
- Patients are medically cleared in the emergency department prior to admission.
- Specialized therapies include pet therapy, group sessions, recreational therapy (rock wall), and community gardening.
Patient Ratios:
- RN: Day 1:5-6; Night 1:13 (with resource support).
Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: BLS (MOAB training provided during orientation).
- License: Active ME State RN License or Compact
- Skills:
- De-escalation techniques.
- Experience with physical restraints (chemical restraints are NOT used).
- Medication administration.
- Group facilitation.
- Strong documentation skills.
