Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans and ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
Duties
- Perform CT scans on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with medical staff to discuss patient history and prepare them for imaging procedures.
- Operate CT equipment efficiently while ensuring high-quality images are produced for diagnostic interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including medical imaging results and any relevant medical terminology.
- Assist in the training of new staff or students in the operation of CT equipment and imaging techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including radiation safety measures.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to enhance imaging services, including regular maintenance checks on equipment.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology, including techniques related to PET scans, nuclear medicine, and urgent care imaging.
Requirements
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with a focus on CT technology is required.
- Proven experience in medical imaging, particularly in CT scans and diagnostic evaluations.
- Familiarity with various imaging modalities such as X-Ray, sonography, and nuclear medicine is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and patient care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential for maintaining patient safety during procedures.
