Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. As a vital member of our medical imaging department, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic information.
Duties
- Perform CT scans on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, explaining the process to alleviate any concerns.
- Maintain equipment functionality by performing routine checks and reporting any malfunctions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to discuss images and findings.
- Adhere to medical imaging standards, including radiation safety protocols.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Assist in emergency medicine situations as required, particularly in a Level II Trauma Center setting.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical imaging, specifically with CT technology.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to imaging procedures.
- Experience in emergency medicine or working within an emergency room setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of sonography, nuclear medicine, X-Ray, mammography, and urgent care practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
