Travel Med-Surg Nurse - Wausau Wisconsin

Job Description:
We are seeking an Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) to provide patient care during night shifts in a team-oriented environment. Must live 50 miles Plus from Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum two years of strong Med/Surg experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Proficiency with IV fluid/antibiotic therapies, post-surgical assessment, heparin gtts, wounds/wound vacs, and basic telemetry

Additional Unit Information:

• Charge Nurse & Supervisors: Experienced leadership and charge nurses providing strong support
• Equipment: Standard Med/Surg and wound care equipment, including wound vacs
• Patient Types: Combination of medical and surgical patients, including confusion/behavioral health, CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgeries
• Unit Details: 32 beds, increasing to 37 by January 2025; known for strong teamwork and new leadership

Scheduling & Requirements:

• Shifts: 12-hour nights
• Weekend: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• On-call: Not required
• Overtime: As needed
• Holidays: Every other holiday

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required: AHA BLS
• License: Wisconsin or Active compact nursing license

Holiday Rotation Requirements:

• Every other holiday
