Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have strong trauma experience and be capable of managing diverse patient populations across all ages.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of ED experience in a Level II Trauma Center (Level III considered with permission).
- Trauma experience is mandatory.
- Skills include ventilator management, critical care drips/titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, conscious sedation, splinting, and US-guided IV insertion (preferred).

Charge Nurse & Supervisors:
- Charge Nurse: Unassigned.
- House Supervisor: 24/7.
Charting System:
- Cerner Charting System.
Equipment:
- Alaris pumps, Pyxis medication system, GE monitors.
Patient Types:
- All ages (Neonate to Geriatric).
- Common diagnoses include multisystem trauma, sepsis, stroke requiring intervention, respiratory failure, mental health issues, STEMI/NSTEMI, and others.
Scheduling & Requirements:
Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
Weekend: Likely every weekend (Days: Sat/Sun; Nights: Fri/Sat).
Floating: No inpatient floating; routine floating within ED (Triage, Psych, Trauma, Holding).
Certifications & Licensure:
Required:
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS.
- MOAB or CPI (preferred).
License:
- Active RN license required.
Charting System:
Cerner.

Physical Setting:
Level II Trauma Center, 411-bed hospital with specialized care units.
