Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is pivotal in providing HR day-to-day support and assisting with workflows to ensure efficient and timely execution of the HR department processes, company policies, administrative tasks, HRIS auditing and updating, and compliance.
Support to Sr. HR Manager and Management :
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. HR Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations within the HR department.
- Assist the Sr. HR Manager by actively engaging with vendors to acquire information and efficiently fulfill the company's requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and department managers to proactively tackle HR-related challenges and align strategies with organizational objectives.
2. Onboarding of new hires :
Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including data entry of new hire paperwork, background checks, drug screening, and all compliance paperwork to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.Facilitate comprehensive new hire orientations to familiarize employees with company policies, procedures, and culture.Conduct proactive periodic check-ins with new hires to evaluate their progress, identify potential challenges, and provide necessary support and guidance.3. Employee Relations :
Assist with the termination process for non-exempt employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements and that all termination paperwork is processed accordingly in Payroll.Develop and execute performance improvement plans tailored to address the performance gaps of non-exempt employees, guiding them toward achieving organizational objectives.Offer coaching and counseling sessions to both non-exempt and exempt employees,fostering their professional growth and effectively addressing performance concerns.
Lead with organization's Core Values and Culture4. Benefits Administration :
Assist new hires with benefits enrollment and support annual open enrollment activities, collaborating with the Benefits Broker and Sr. HR Manager to execute the process effectively.Coordinates the FMLA requests and other leave of absence (LOA) cases, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.5. Payroll Coordination :
Coordinate with the Payroll Manager on payroll-related activities, including promotions, terminations, and new hires, and input new hire data into ADP.6. Employee Engagement :
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and programs.Coordinate employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, company events, and communications to foster a positive work environment.7. Field Employee Support :
Serve as a point of contact for field employees (e.g., technicians, sales representatives, regional managers), promptly addressing their questions and concerns, elevating to Sr HR Manager as needed.8. Recruitment :
Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring a smooth and efficient interview process for candidates and hiring managers.9. Compliance Support :
Support the Sr. HR Manager, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies across all HR functions.Collaborate with management staff to craft comprehensive and accurate job descriptions tailored to meet the organization's needs.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR records by maintaining personnel files, consistently updating HRIS data entries, and generating reports as needed.Assist with accurate, timely, well-written professional level documentation (policies, memorandum, letters). All documents to reflect good grammar, spelling, and structure to facilitate clear communication and professionalism.10. Additional Responsibilities :
Support the Senior HR Manager by undertaking additional projects to bolster the HR department's operations and advance the company's mission.Qualifications :

Required : - High School diploma, GED, or equivalent and Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP)Preferred : Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Required Experience :

Minimum five years of previous experience in HR roles with a focus on employee relations, compliance, employee onboarding, engagement, and recruitment.Experience in the Health Care Industry or Construction supporting employees in multiple locations and teams.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.Experience with HRIS Systems and payroll software, particularly ADP Workforce Now.Preferred :
Minimum (6 ) years of experience in general Human Resource functions or a combination of equivalent experience with an increasing level of responsibility, preferably in the healthcare industry.General Physical Demands and Working Conditions of Job :
