Position Summary
The Director of Sales Support plays a key leadership role at MTA, driving the integration of estimating and scheduling operations to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. This role focuses on pricing strategies, scheduling optimization, and performance metrics to achieve company goals. The director will lead team development, create standardized operating procedures (SOPs), and implement training programs to build a scalable and reliable department. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize estimating and scheduling operations, aligning with organizational objectives.
Implement and manage KPIs to measure, monitor, and improve team performance and execution.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement through cross-training, streamlined processes, and leveraging automation and technology.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and technical support, to drive efficiency and ensure seamless service delivery.
Team Development & Management
Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing team of Estimators and Schedulers, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing professional development opportunities to team members.
Establish and enforce the creation of standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and scalability across the team.
Design and implement robust training programs to onboard new team members efficiently and equip them for success.
Create a sustainable and reliable team environment that minimizes reliance on single points of expertise and ensures repeatable processes.
Estimating Operations
Oversee the preparation and review of accurate quotes and proposals in collaboration with the sales team and subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with pricing strategies and margin targets.
Leverage expertise in blueprints, technical specifications, and industry standards (e.g., NFPA 99) to validate the accuracy of quotes and scopes of work.
Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure proposals meet quality and cost requirements.
Scheduling Operations
Implement and manage efficient scheduling systems to optimize resource allocation and turnaround times.
Coordinate with operations and field teams to align schedules with project requirements and customer timelines.
Monitor scheduling workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
Operational Excellence
Lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce manual processes, and enhance scalability using systems and automation tools.
Identify and resolve inefficiencies in workflows, fostering collaboration between departments to eliminate silos.
Analyze data to develop insights and drive decisions that improve operational outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in estimating, scheduling, or operations management within the TIC or similar industry.
Strong background in developing and managing KPIs to measure performance and drive results.
Demonstrated experience in operational process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and team leadership.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and codes such as NFPA 99.
Expertise in collaborating on pricing strategies with sales and subject matter experts.
Advanced skills in leveraging technology for workflow automation and process improvement.
Proven ability to create and enforce SOPs and establish training programs to drive team reliability and scalability.

Work Environment
