University Center Imaging, the leading provider of outpatient radiology/imaging services in Brevard County, is currently seeking a highly professional and compassionate MRI Technologist. UCI specializes in providing full-service, high-quality diagnostic imaging care and services to patients, physicians, and medical groups in the local market. We have been a local outpatient imaging provider for over 26 years and are looking for candidates who are not only prepared to provide the highest level of patient care possible, but who strive to continually exceed industry standards.
OVERVIEW:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to MRI Technologist, knowledge of General MRI exams, Angio, analysis of information, patient care, patient education, ACR and compliance. Will also demonstrate competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to professional performance expectations and cost effectiveness, productivity, equipment management and radiologists protocol.
Siemens experience a plus.
HOURS: Friday 2pm- 10pm at Oaks location and as needed at both locations.

DIFFERENTIAL PAY: Additional pay for working after 5pm during the week and all hours on the weekend.
License/Certification:
- AS Degree.
- Current licensure by the State of Florida.
- ARRT (MR) Certification (Required)
- ARRT Certification (Required)
- Maintain licensure and registry through continuing education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:
- Greet and escort patient back for imaging procedure.
- Collect and record patient data.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedure.
- Explain to patient in detail the events that will take place, such as receiving an IV, etc. and obtain consent as needed.
- Answer any questions the patients may have prior and after the procedure.
- Ability to obtain BP and pulse.
- Perform IV’s with aseptic technique as needed.
- Interpret clinical data provided on requisitions and adjust technical factors if indicated to produce optimal images.
- Interpret Clinical reports.
- Keep accurate, up to date records of all supplies used, report stock level to administrator, and initiate orders to replenish stocks.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in work and patient care areas to practice and maintain aseptic conditions.
- Assist in other areas, wherever needed at the center.
- Practice sterile techniques in all activities to prevent cross-contamination.
- Work with RIS software and call for support when problems arise.
- Work with PACS workstations.
- Perform ACR accreditation.
- Practice ACR guidelines.
