What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist (x-ray) position at MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CORPORATION?
We are looking for a smart, talented and resourceful individual to fill the role for a Radiology Technologist, part-time. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to Radiology Technologist, knowledge of General Radiology exams, Fluoroscopy, analysis of information, patient care, patient education, and compliance. Will also demonstrate competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to professional performance expectations and cost effectiveness, productivity, equipment management and radiologists protocol. Interest in cross-training in Mammography with certification, a plus.
HOURS: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 24-28 hours guaranteed, flexible on hours at our Oaks location. Ability for as needed coverage in our Suntree location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:
- Perform fluoroscopic, special and other standard radiographic procedures as required. Provide radiation safety protection to patients in accordance to prescribe HRS safety standards.
- Greet and escort patient back to the imaging room.
- Collect and record patient data.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedure
- Explain to patient in detail the events that will take place, such as receiving an injection, IV, etc.
- Answer any questions the patients may have prior to and after the procedure.
- Interpret clinical data provided on requisitions and adjust technical factors if indicated to produce optimal images.
- Keep accurate, up to date records of all supplies used, report stock level to administrator, and initiate orders to replenish stocks.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in work and patient care areas to practice and maintain aseptic conditions.
- Assist in other areas, wherever needed at the center.
- Practice sterile techniques in all activities to prevent cross-contamination.
- Scheduling patients for procedures.
- Knowledge of Intelerad RIS software and call for support when problems arise.
- Knowledge of PACS workstations and laser printer.
