Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced

Certified Medical Assistant
Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred, may consider new graduates.

This is a FULL TIME / TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8AM-5 / 5 : 30PM, Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23502).

Responsibilities :

A Day in the life of a Certified Medical Assistant :

As a Certified Medical Assistant you will assist in assessment of the patient, verifying demographics, chief complaint, collecting vitals, reconciliation of medications, data entry. Room patient for their visit and bedside assist with the provider. Assist with patient educations, post and pre operative appointments and needs. Wound care and assessments, removal of stitches and staples. Prescription refills and requests. Returning patient calls to answer questions, etc. Stocking exam rooms, sterilization of exam rooms and other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Certified Medical Assistant :

Required : Diploma for Medical Assistant

Required : Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant

Required : BLS / CPR

Required : EMR experience and or knowledge

Required : Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen, must be willing to get a flu shot and PPD if you do not have current vaccinations / assessments

Required : Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment

Required : Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications for the Certified Medical Assistant :

Preferred : Surgical experience (pre-post op)

Preferred : Plastic Surgery experience

Preferred : Wound care experience

Benefits :

18.00-$20.00 an hour (depending on experience level)
