What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Class C Pennsylvania Operator’s License
- Must have had a valid license for at least 5 years
- Pass a DOT pre-employment physical and maintain DOT standard physical requirement; and maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times
- Must not have had more than two moving traffic violations within the previous three-year period; a moving traffic violation for careless driving or excessive speeding; a misdemeanor DUI on record; or their licenses suspended for moving violations in the past three years
- Possess valid authorization to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
- Must pass criminal background check investigation
Skills:
- Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
- Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
- Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
- Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area
What You’ll Do:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation
- Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
- Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
- Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
- Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
- Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
- Complete paperwork as required
- Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
