We are seeking a remote Clinical Psychologist to lead and oversee training for Department of Defense behavioral health professionals, including psychologists, behavioral health consultants (BHCs), and behavioral health consultant facilitators (BHCFs) within the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model. This role involves mentoring, training, and evaluating staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery in a primary care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee training for BHCs and BHCFs within the PCBH model, ensuring all team members are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise (SME) in both PCBH and Care Management Models, developing and delivering training programs aligned with clinical practice guidelines and evidence-based practices.
- Train staff to meet required competencies in PCBH core competencies, DHA standards, and MHS GENESIS documentation.
- Facilitate competency evaluations, ensuring all team members meet performance standards during role plays and clinical encounters.
- Develop training materials based on current professional literature and research, ensuring resources are practical and up to date.
- Provide ongoing support, mentoring, and feedback to BHCs and BHCFs, aligning training with organizational goals.
- Assist in program evaluation, data analysis, and identifying trends to continuously improve training and behavioral health practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate training programs with organizational goals and report on progress.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and contribute to proposals, marketing efforts, and organizational development.
- Manage administrative tasks, including leave requests, team coverage, and periodic contract audits.
- Work with HR and Program Directors to ensure compliance with HR policies.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in professional psychology (clinical, counseling, or combined) from an APA or CPA-accredited program.
- Completion of an APA or CPA-accredited professional psychology internship.
- Active license and certification to practice psychology.
- At least 10 years of post-doctoral experience, including 2 years in the PCBH model of care (exceptional candidates may have the post-doctoral experience requirement waived).
- Expertise in PCBH and Care Management Models, with demonstrated ability to apply these in a primary care setting.
- Proven expertise in clinical practice, training, and mentoring.
- Evidence of leadership and communication skills.
- Must pass core competencies within two quarters of hire, including role play, clinical encounters, and verbal interviews.
- Proficiency in communication technologies and remote work tools (especially video conferencing).
- Experience with health IT systems and reports is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel).
