Job Summary:
Job Responsibilities:
- Assigning and supervising job duties to housekeeping personnel.
- Inspecting and assisting cleaning of resident rooms, lounge and other public areas.
- Inspecting cleaning of bathrooms and ensuring soap, tissue, and towels are replaced as needed.
- Maintaining supplies and equipment and keeping perpetual inventory updated.
- Ensuring all vacated rooms are deep cleaned and disinfected.
- Ensuring the facility is kept free from odors, pests, and rubbish.
- Ensuring windows and floors in all areas are clean.
- Functioning as an active member on the Infection Control Committee.
- Perform basic inspection to identify minor or major maintenance requirements and take appropriate action.
- Meeting with supply and equipment salesmen to ensure costs are held to the minimum necessary consistent with good housekeeping practices.
- Providing in-service training for housekeepers on techniques of housekeeping, laundry, use of supplies and equipment, safety and other topics as needed.
- Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur.
- Uses and enforces safety precautions in all housekeeping services to prevent accidents.
Job Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in housekeeping
- Ability to read and write effectively
- Ability to follow procedures
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products
