Key Responsibilities :
Treatment Administration :
Deliver precise radiation treatments based on oncologist prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Operate advanced radiation therapy equipment such as linear accelerators.
Patient Care :
Educate patients about the treatment process and potential side effects.
Treatment Planning Support :
Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical dosimetrists to plan treatments.
Safety and Quality Assurance :
Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and the general environment.
Documentation :
Maintain detailed and accurate records of treatment sessions and patient progress.
Qualifications : Education :
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
Licensure / Certification :
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
Skills and Competencies :
Strong technical skills to operate complex equipment.
