Position Summary :

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the consulting company and will provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and help guide strategic decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including the preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
  • Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and prepare insightful reports for management.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable), and fixed assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Oversee and manage the company's tax filings.
  • Analyze service delivery costs, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure the company maintains adequate liquidity.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals.
  • Delegate effectively, provide clear direction, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) a plus)
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 7 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment (e.g., consulting, professional services, technology)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work both independently and with a team.
