Position Overview
As a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team by performing venipunctures, assisting with patient care, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both phlebotomy and medical assisting, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and collect lab specimens following proper protocols
- Assist with patient intake, including vitals, medical history, and documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical system
- Ensure proper handling and transport of laboratory specimens
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure a comfortable experience
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and/or medical assisting
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced setting
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
