Respiratory Care Practitioner - Providence Health - Petaluma, CA
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in providing high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients in various settings, including Level II Trauma Centers, outpatient facilities, and acute care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pulmonology and physiology, ensuring effective patient assessment and treatment.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate respiratory conditions and needs.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.
- Stay current with advancements in respiratory care practices and medical terminology.
- Provide care for patients across various age groups, including geriatrics, ensuring a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited College, in the field of Respiratory Therapy.
- Training specific to area of assignment.
- California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- Experience in an acute (routine and critical) respiratory care setting.
