Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care, infectious disease care, and medical-surgical nursing, with experience in case management and outpatient settings. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality.
- Oversee patient care delivery in various settings including pediatrics, ICU, and outpatient clinics.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Provide education and training for nursing staff on best practices in acute care and infectious disease management.
- Address patient concerns promptly while maintaining a focus on safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Or equivalent educ/experience listed below:
- All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire. Any previously agreed upon effective date for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in nursing between individual and facility will remain in effect.
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- 2 years Experience in Healthcare related field (Acute, Ambulatory, Post-Acute, etc.)
- 2 years Experience in Case Management (Care Coordination or Utilization Management) or successful completion of the Transitions in Practice (TIP) program for Care Manager. TIP candidates must have experience in same type of nursing unit in which the CM position is available.
