Position : Administrative Assistant, Medical
Schedule : Days
Location : Richmond City Justice Center
Responsibilities :
Oversee and administer the day-to-day activities of the medical unit to include scheduling off-site medical appointments and follow-ups, scheduling transportation services, submitting request for purchases of office supplies, etc.,
Perform administrative / clerical duties for the purpose of assisting the Health Services Administrator in the performance of their work and the efficient operation of the medical department
Maintain records / files for the purpose of documenting and / or providing reliable information and compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and policy requirements
Submit completed Utilization Management documents to Corporate, maintaining the utilization log, maintaining all monthly logs on the unit
Scan medical records into electronic medical in a timely manner
Assist in the coordination and completion of special projects as necessary
Respond to requests from medical staff as well as security staff when applicable
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative experience
High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
Active CPR / BLS certificate required (American Heart Association / American Red Cross guideline approved)
