Position : Registered Medication Aide - VA
Schedule : Days
Location : Richmond City Justice Center
Responsibilities :
Dispense oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients
Stock the medication cart
Record what medications and dosages were given for the day
Manage and maintain pharmacy stocks of medicine and medical supplies
Respond to requests from Security Staff as well as MEDIKO Staff in accordance with MEDIKO and Facility Guidelines, to include following the rules and regulations for employee conduct / behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention / correctional facility
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Completion of and certified as a Certified Medication Aide
One (1) year experience as a Certified Medication Aide
Active CPR / BLS certificate required (American Heart Association / American Red Cross guideline approved)
