Overview
Medina Buick GMC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, automotive repair, and customer service, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. Your expertise will help us maintain our fleet's reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and associated systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Work with electrical systems including wiring, lighting, and battery components.
- Inspect and repair shocks, struts, and suspension systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs efficiently.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in automotive repair techniques, particularly for diesel engines.
- Experience working with cranes and other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Attention to detail in assembling parts and maintaining equipment integrity.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
