The Medina Civil Service Commission seeks a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform repair and maintenance of all types of equipment used in municipal services, including heavy or light trucks, heavy equipment, machinery, automobiles, and various other engine-powered equipment.
Job Description
As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with our equipment fleet. You will work closely with the Equipment Maintenance Superintendent to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operated efficiently.
- Repair and maintain all types of equipment used in municipal services
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, machinery, and vehicles
Requirements
To be successful as a Heavy Equipment Repair Technician, you must have:
- A valid CDL issued by the State of Ohio with airbrake endorsement
- Experience with the operation and repair of air brake systems and hydraulic systems
- Strong mechanical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The probationary period for this position shall be regarded as an integral part of the examination process and shall be used to closely observe the employee's work and to remove any employee whose performance does not meet required work standards.
