At the Medina County Career Center (MCCC), our staff is committed to making a difference—one life at a time—by helping students achieve their dreams and supporting all colleagues. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Maintenance Technician to assist the Building and Operations Manager and accept the responsibility for the care, condition, cleanliness, appearance, repair, or replacement of all physical equipment, buildings, facilities, and grounds. Performs maintenance duties that relate to the school building, facilities, and grounds.

SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Classified Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education, ranging from $36,025.60-$48,484.80 annually.
REPORTS TO: Building and Operations Manager or Designee

WORK-WEEK/YEAR: 260 days per year
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to respond to emergencies related to building security or other issues. Five years’ experience in general maintenance and operations. Skilled in at least one of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and/or other building maintenance repairs. Five years’ experience in general maintenance and operations. Knowledge of recognized maintenance safety practices and procedures. Veri?ed Ability to create a schedule of preventative maintenance on District equipment. Ability to operate forklifts and other hand-held equipment. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 70 lbs. Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions. Ability to work cooperatively with a team. Ability to build rapport with many stakeholders. Effective written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Outlook.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or higher. Knowledge of career technical education. Prior related experience preferred. Industry credentials and/or apprenticeship in relevant ?eld. Possess or willing to obtain OSHA 10 or 30-hour certi?cation. Past experience working with large-scale construction projects. Serve as a source of information in areas involving trade expertise.
