STARTING DATE: August 2025
SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Teachers Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education
REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

WORK WEEK/YEAR: 184 days as per the Board adopted calendar
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Valid Ohio Teacher Licensure/Certification in (130000) Comprehensive Science (currently, all classes will be Chemistry, but may be subject to change). Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to build rapport with high school students and many other stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively with the Science Department. Strong organizational skills. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree. The ability to teach AP courses and/or CCP courses. Practical knowledge working in a career technical center. Strong technology skills. Proven ability to integrate technology into instructional methodology. Solid foundational knowledge of special education. First Aid/CPR/AED Certifications.
