- Are you a compassionate, student-centered professional dedicated to helping students thrive? The Educational Service Center of Medina County (ESCMC) is seeking a Part-Time School Counselor to support students’ academic and social-emotional development at Northside Christian Academy and Preschool. As a School Counselor, you will play a critical role in implementing comprehensive school counseling while maintaining professional integrity and collaboration with school personnel, families, and community partners. This is a part-time position supporting students in a private Christian school in the county.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive school counseling program in alignment with school goals and mission.
- Provide direct services that support students’ academic success, and social/emotional development and well being.
- Collaborate with school personnel, families, and community agencies to provide indirect support and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with laws and policies.
- Exhibit professionalism and ethical behavior at all times.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and self-reflection to continually enhance effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio School Counselor License.
- Strong understanding of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and community resources.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and professional growth.
- Flexibility and professionalism.
