Job Title: Seasonal Lifeguard
Reports to: Youth Activities Manager
Rate: $15/hr
Hours: 20-30 hours per week, part-time
Timeframe: May – September 2025

Job Responsibilities:
- Observe daily sanitation requirements of checking water conditions for chlorine and PH (acidity) content. Relay any discrepancies to manager immediately.
- Maintain daily log of water test conditions for the inspection of local health agency.
- Vacuum pool bottom, empty automatic robot cleaners, and skim surface to prepare pool for daily use.
- Supervise and observe swimmers in the Club pool to assure their safety: maintain all Club pool rules as established by management.
- Interact with, and assist, Members and Guests in any way possible. Be proactive with ensuring all members needs are addressed.
- May give swimming and diving lessons, or water sport team coaching as instructed by Pool Manager.
- Administer first aid to minor cuts and bruises of swimmers. Report all incidences to manager for Incident Report documentation.
- Help maintain cleanliness of showers, locker rooms, chairs, diving boards, pool top, kids toys, pool and pool office (Coordinate with Housekeeping staff).
- Help maintain amenities in and cleanliness of the changing room, game room, and showers.
- May also give lessons before and after regular pool hours.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
- Must pass official Red Cross First Aid and lifesaving courses.
- May be expected to pass certain local first aid and swimming requirements.
- Must be an excellent swimmer with ample amount of physical strength.
- Must have working knowledge of oxygen equipment and other lifesaving apparatus introduced in lifesaving courses.
- 2-4 years experience in a related position preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma preferred, but not required.
