A non-profit medical group in Orange County is searching for a detailed-oriented Medical Assistant to join their Breast Oncology healthcare team.
The Medical Assistant will primarily serve as a scribe for the Breast Surgical Oncologist, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflow. Medical Assistant responsibilities include taking vital signs, recording patient history, medications, and allergies; handling pharmacy calls and processing patient refill requests; and managing telephone triage and patient communication.
Pay Rate Range : $24.00 / hr.
Shift : Monday – Friday / 8 : 00AM – 5 : 00PM
City : Newport Beach, CA (Local candidates only)
Medical Assistant Job Requirements :
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, including as a scribe
- Experience working with Oncology or Surgical Breast Oncology patients
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with various EMR systems
